This past weekend I had the pleasure of officiating the wedding of a longtime friend in Brooklyn, NY. I'm no longer used to 45 degree so the idea of traveling to the NJ/NY area wasn't that appealing to me, but the experience was well worth it.
The ceremony took place in the backyard of her home in a heated tent. The tent was beautifully decorated and upon my arrival I completely forgot it was 45 degrees outside. This was a small, intimate wedding with approximately 40 close friends and family in attendance. The bride was beautiful in her off white full length gown and sheer cape. The groom was decked out in a burgundy suit.
The process of working on ceremony was fun because it isn't often that I'm able to infuse not only the perspective of the Bride, Groom, Friends' and Family, but also my own. The Love Story portion of the ceremony helped bring the guests into how the Bride and Groom made it to this day.
I'm so happy my friend asked if it was possible that I could officiate her wedding. As always, it was a very rewarding experience and because the couple are personal friends it was all the more special.
I wish them the best of luck in the upcoming years!
Cheers!
